- Got a hair better but still needs a lot of fixing. The app should mirror what the website has and it doesn’t
- Simple and clean
- It seams similar.. will it still hold the info for finding phone numbers to enterprises and other useful information besides “news”?
- The layout seems very basic and a bit dull if I am being totally honest. However, it works well!
- While I can figure out how to use the app, i think that some items should be made more readable. The darkness of the date(s) listed at the bottom of items could be darker, instead of very faint. Also, the color brightness when selecting an item to bookmark could be brighter. Navigation: OK, from the main page, if you select a news item to read (with "All" selected), it takes you to that news item. There should be a next button or arrow to allow you to read the next article without returning to the home page. If from the homepage you use a filter to limit the News items, say you select "General Council" then that works and you only are viewing "General Council" news items. When you select a General Council news item to read and then use the "back arrow" to return to the homepage, the homepage will now show all of the news items, even with the "General Council" filter still being active. To go to the next "General Council" news item, you have to select "All" or another filter and then the "General Council" filter to display "General Council" news items only. Same thing happens when using other filters. If yo select the main drop down menu it provides 4 options. If you select "Events" it takes you to the Events main screen which displays the current month calendar and an event(s) if there any for that current day. The time of the event is an issue. It displays the current time zone of where the user is currently located instead of the actual Minnesota time of the event. I am currently reviewing the app in California, so the time is defaulting to Pacific Time. I went to my phone settings and set the "Time Zone Override" to Minneapolis, but the app still displays California time. Rebooting the app did not change the time. If you wan to add an event to your calendar, the option defaults to "Allow Full Access". I selected no, and now cannot change that option. I went to the app settings and selected "Add Events Only", but that option is not working and I cannot use the add to calendar function. In addition, while viewing an Event, it would be helpful if the date of the event was listed next to the "Add to Calendar" button instead of very faintly at the bottom of the screen. BookMarking items: Something is not being cleared out of memory. If you bookmark an item it gets highlighted (again need another color or brightness setting) and if you select "Bookmarked" from the main dropdown menu, bookmarked items appear. If you press the bookmark icon again, the highlight goes off and the item is removed from the bookmarked section. While still in the "Bookmarked" section, if you deselect all of the bookmarked items, you get a blank screen, instead of the "You have not bookmarked any items or events" that appears sometimes. Now the fun part, if you bookmark another item, some previously bookmarked items will also appear even if they are no longer bookmarked. Have fun playing with this one.
- Bookmark color was to similar to non bookmarked color.

(3 Responses) Please describe any bugs in detail:
- When I scroll to the next photo in the Wacipi album it goes back to the first photos and I’m unable to view any other photos on the album
- See previous comments.
- When going back, if you swiped instead of using the back button both the screen you left and the new page show simultaneously and does not allow you to scroll past a certain point. Could only be remedied by pressing the back button or closing and reopening the app. Also video player did not work in the app. It showed play button but if you pressed it, it would simply show a grey screen with the pause button.

- When swiping to the right to go to previous page, it will some times have the last page transparent on top. Fixes itself when touching back arrow though.
Features
(8 Responses) Which feature(s) did you find the most useful?
- N/a
- Bookmark
- Like bookmarking and adding events to my calendar
- Scrolling through news but I liked that I use to be able to just touch the (Smsc logo/name) at the top and it would almost refresh the screen to take me back to the top or front page.. I didnt see that with this new app. So I had to scroll manually. It’s nice to have an option like that… but I guess I used that feature before because there wasn’t some kind of “back button”.
- Since it is similar to the website it makes navigation easy
- Events
- The "filter" option to limit the type of news items to review is helpful.
- Event calendar with each date hyperlinked to its specific events.
(7 Responses) Which feature(s) did you find the least useful or unnecessary?
- Needs more ways to see forms
- None
- None
- Nothing. There’s not a lot on the app I guess so there wasn’t anything not useful.
- The "Right Arrow" icon can be removed. If you just tap on an item, you will go to that item. If you want to keep that icon, then make it easier to see.
- I found bookmarking to be the least useful although I could see using it in the future.
- To be honest I don’t particularly like the layout I preferred the layout from the previous app
(7 Responses) Are there any features missing that you would like to see?
- Forms
- A form on the pull-down side( more)
- Contact list for important departments - fire, health, etc
- Definitely I think the land opportunities should be in there and all department info.
- A "Next arrow" while viewing items would be helpful without the need to go back to all the items. If using the "filter" to limit the type of items being reviewed, then allow that filter to stay in place until it is reset. Review my previous comment on this.
- Although I know it’s not supposed to replace the community member website. A section with contact information for the departments would be nice. You can filter news by “education”, it would also be nice for that to have a “home page” or banner with relevant contact info.
- Where are the property listings
(1 Responses) Comments
- The color used for the date, arrow, bookmark, is too light.

- The app does not list the SMSC Pharmacy, but it is accessible from the SMSC website. While in my opinion the pharmacy should be listed as an enterprise just like the C-stores, it should at least be accessible from the Health and Wellness department link.
- Please fix issues with both Wacipi albums. Cannot scroll to view other photos
- I cannot find the forms anywhere on the app.
- Could be better
- Beth man’s name changed to Beth Pletka Bc contact section
- Other than the light colored arrow, bookmark, date etc everything looked great.
- I really like the layout and color scheme of the app. Easy to navigate.
- Enjoy this new app compared to current app in use.
- The usability is nice. But it needs more information like the last one.. but maybe that’s to come, or is this supposed to be a digital version of the paper? I personally used it for a reference place to find out about permits, forms, phone numbers, council info or stuff like that. A place to get questions answered. And also a place to add stuff to calendar easy.
- Seems very straightforward, and looks similar to the website.
- Great start, but I think there should be more put in the app. Right now it is not detailed enough.
- A good start, just need to add a couple of things. Also, would it be safe to assume that in the future that this app will be linked to the SMSC website app? Like, if I click on the SMSC shield icon that it would launch the SMSC website? Let me know if you require any additional information on the comments that I have made. And not sure if your app captured this information, but I am using an Apple iPhone 12 Pro, running iOS 17.7
- I found the app to be very usable and what I would expect in quality for its intended use.
- Features seem ok but not totally into the layout
