- My only note is that the changing size of the bounding (grey) box around the BC members with the hover effect is a bit odd. Might just be a personal thing and it definitely isn't site-breaking.
- Still feels like the page header needs to be vertically centered in the hero section. Some additional margin needed below the main image Nice hover effect on the BC member section near the bottom, also consistent with other areas on the site page has 82/100 lighthouse performance score
- I might suggest the option to be able to click on each of the Business Council Members photo boxes to be able to read more about them such as a quick biography.
- Page looks great! I love the header image. My only comment would be that the bottom content about the boards weighs more to the Gaming Commision copy - it's longer and has a button, which the other does not.
- - SMSCGE board – should there be a link to more information here? - Consider increasing the font size of the "Learn More" button under "Gaming Commission" - For the overall "Government" page, the copy on the “Learn more” buttons under Our Enterprises and Our Departments is smaller than the button under How We Operate. Recommend increasing the size.
- I love the Business Council Members pop-ups. No additional comments!
- I would recommend displaying the Business Council members names without needing to hover over their images. The effect isn't necessary and just adds and additional step to view the names and titles.
- Can hero image be moved up, or content moved down? Can only see the heads of the BC members and the clouds seem high. Love the BC photos - could they be larger? Did we confirm that the BC members do not want bio information available for them?
- At full screen, the shield lockup on the nav bar is being slightly stretched vertically. Hovering over the business council photos gives the impression that a clickable option, such as accessing their bios, should be available

- Under cultural resources: Mdewakanton: Dwellers of the Spirit Lake- should be italicized. Under Natural Resources: It is she same photo as the Survey section of Natual Resources. Not sure if we have another to replace? Wondering if when you initially scroll, the bottom row doesnt show up right away if people dont know its there, they wont hold their mouse to hover?
- Finance and Health and Wellness blocks look unbalanced next to each other.
- Could we make the cards have the same height when they are in the grid format? Would clean up the design just a bit.
- Anywhere that triggers the hover effect should also be clickable. for example, hovering over the image on the 'charitable giving' card causes it to zoom, but clicking on the image has no effect There's enough content on this page that an index at the top might be needed lighthouse performance score: 77/100
- Great layout and looks good. HR did request a different photo for this page that does not include people "sitting in a row". Also, is there a way that we can either match up the copy length or at least make it so the box sizes match each other?
- - You could consider cutting copy on the descriptions so that they all fit on this page (instead of having additional pages for cultural resources, health and wellness, MPS, natural resources, etc.) - Charitable giving – can this link to the philanthropy section? - Cultural resources – can this link to culture and history section?
- My only comment would be to update some of the photos (finance, family and children services, HR, IT, legal, etc.) with real photos related to the departments to avoid stock imagery.
- I'm noticing some inconsistencies on our inclusion of (SMSC) after the first mention of Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community on each page. Assuming we'll be using a different photo for Departments and Administration, but if we're not, we should plan on it since the current photo isn't a great compliment for the copy. It appears the only indication of a link to more information for the departments is underlining the section header. I would suggest a button approach to make it clear that you can navigate to more information.
- Land and Building Services Pages - Is it confusing to have the permit links under 'Quick Access' on main About page and also have a page dedicated to Permits? Typo on Permits page - right side 'Planing to Dig' subhead (should be 'Planning')
- Could there be a list-style version preceding the expanded tabs for all the departments, functioning like a table of contents?

- Under Driving the Loal Economy.... could you add a period at the end " local economy since 1990." Not all the scrolling enterprises had the description pop up the first time I clicked on them.
- The scroll speed of the enterprise list seems a little fast on mobile. Could we slow it down just a bit. On desktop, having more than 3 visible enterprises gives adequate time to track which one you want to look at. Otherwise, very well done on the implementation here!
- Like the carousel! Glad that the content could be dragged when frozen Same comment about the hovering effect. If hovering over the whole element zooms it, it's better to just make the whole thing clickable imo. lighthouse performance score: 69
- Loading under the enterprise selector took me half a second to find. Wasn't sure if it was going to pop up or load but found out quick
- I like the simplicity and the photos that go along with each of the enterprises.
- Love this page. No comments.
- For the stats in the second paragraph, in recent years we've focused on more evergreen stats so we don't need to update often. Something to consider! More evergreen language would be, "We are the largest employer in Scott County and have a payroll of more than $150 million annually. The majority of our employees reside in Scott and Dakota counties. Additionally, we work with thousands of vendors within a 25-mile radius, and pay several million dollars to vendors annually. The SMSC’s enterprises have contributed billions of dollars to the local economy since 1990."
- I love the way the enterprise buttons automatically shuffle on this page, but I'm wondering if we would consider changing this so the user can manually slide through the selections to find a specific enterprise quicker.
- The image included with "Driving The Local Economy" would be better suited to the Departments and Administration page since it features no enterprises while the image used on that page features DSF, Mystic Lake, The Meadows, etc. The scrolling Enterprises bar isn't an ideal approach. I would suggest mirroring the layout of the Departments page with a small blurb about the enterprise and linking to the website. This takes better advantage of the real estate on the desktop experience. This also doesn't respond well for mobile as it only shows 1-2 enterprises at a time and doesn't showcase the full scope of what the SMSC owns and operates. The logo sizing should also be checked to make sure its consistent for all enterprises. I do appreciate this approach if we wanted to showcase some of our sponsorships or partnerships with other notable businesses/companies on another page since you typically see this used for that kind of mention.
- The scrolling bar feels inconvenient—if someone is searching for information on a specific enterprise, they would have to wait. Would a grid layout featuring all the logos be a better option?

- I like it- wondering if we can align the size of the photos and the titles in the text boxes. That might make it more pleasing to the eye.
- Text column at the top is too wide 'Interested in learning more?' Needs a button underneath it, or at least a larger clickable link. The action part of the CTA is not obvious enough here lighthouse score is 80
- Looks good!
- The non-serif font “Interested in learning more" and for the person's name stands out. Could it be updates for more consistency?
- My only suggestion would be to swap photos for any real-time photos or graphics we have (if any). No additional changes!
- Have we considered changing the header image as a way to further indicate the page you're on? It seems like a miss to have the static river image with clouds for all areas.
- "Interested in learning more? Contact for more information:" feels redundant and overly long, especially since it appears in every category or program.

- I like the callout about the green roofs!
- Good, although the page does not stand out for any reason lighthouse score: 76
- I think we might want to consider changing the name of the Electric Vehicles section. Glancing over that title gives the impression we use/provide electric vehicles, but the section is more about the chargers.
- - Under "Solar Power," I think a word is missing in the first sentence, "…and soon that number WILL double as more…" - Under "Electric Vehicles," I believe "Community Members" should be capitalized. - Under "Dakota Prairie Composting," change hyphen to em dash to match other uses on the site. - Also change last sentence to "The facility also processes wood…"
- No changes!
- I'm not sure the fall tree image is the best representation of NativeGreen, but I don't have a great recommendation without looking through our image assets. I would suggest a more zoomed in image of the roof top unit we're speaking to for the hydronics system rather than the overall MPS roof.
- When hovering over buttons, such as the "Learn More" button, it could be more effective to make the hover state more visually distinct, like inverting the colors or switching to an outline.

- Love this! The text under Water Management is not aligned with the rest of the text boxes. It sits lower.
- Can we have the grid section at the top of the page have equal height items? In my opinion, this will clean up the design just a bit. For the "Habitats" section, can we change the background photo to one that is not part of the options? Also, can we make the card itself clickable? From a user standpoint, it would help with the experience, especially with the scaling that happens.
- I think slow down the 'shake' animation on the arrow, and increase the size of it a little on hover maybe. I'm not sure. The habitat cards 'blink' out of sight for a second on hover. As before, I feel the whole card should be clickable as well Accordion on the wildlife page works very nicely The search table on the invasive species works great, but we may want to repurpose it for something else. If this page is meant to educate users about invasive species, it's unlikely they will know what to search for lighthouse score is 84
- This was my favorite page. The design and content are stunning.
- Page looks great. Only comment is that the photo for Invasive Species stands out compared to the other. I also think that we could make those boxes match each other in size.
- - The description copy under boxes like "Prescribed Burns" and "Invasive Species" is quite small and harder to read. - The boxes under habitat are challenging to read with the picture over a picture. - For the boxes under Habitats, you could consider changing it so people can click on the box itself (rather than just the "Learn more" text to get to the subpage. - I think the subpages are the only pages that includes a back button at the bottom of the page. I recommend consistency across the site.
- I would suggest either cropping the image or swapping it – the 'U' in resources gets lost in the background image. Love the 'learn more' sections of each of the habitats!
- Love the magery on this page! I feel like we're lacking consistency in design elements across the overall site as I review more pages. Navigation and links to other subpages, etc. seems random and inconsistent as well as overall page structure and approach. If this is intentional to give more variety to the site, I can appreciate that, but it should be done with a little more intention to feel cohesive.
- Love the design and layout of these pages!
- The first four categories appear unusually long on desktop and don’t utilize the horizontal space effectively. Under "Habitats," the background image makes the section feel cluttered and overly busy. Additionally, the assets don’t function consistently with the rest of the site—I expected clicking on the entire box to navigate to the page, rather than just the "Learn More" in the corner.

- Its really a pretty website! Great job!
- Very well done on these pages! The use of imagery and design feel cohesive and add just the right amount of interactivity to the site.
- site footer looks great. overall, site looks very clean and is intuitive to use
- Big improvement over the old site! Everything was super quick for me, the layout looked great, and I like how information fades in loads as you scroll. Great work, all!
- Everything is looking great!
- One other high-level comment: The blue text on white (and vice versa) does not meet the accessibility checker we used because the contrast is too little. Thanks! I submitted comments on behalf of the Goff team.
- Overall looks amazing!
- Happy to provide additional context and clarification for any of my comments or recommendations! The site is looking great overall, but if feels like we're about 1-2 months out from this being ready to go live. I'm not sure what our latest timeline is looking like for launch.
- Love this site and how it has come together!
- In the navigation bar, the section names seem to use a different font from the rest of the site, appearing in Proxima Nova. The similarity to the other sans-serif font makes it feel unintentional, but the difference is still noticeable.
